Well, I'm not sure if these have already been done, and I haven't really looked all
that hard to see... But I wanted some stamps of my own and I wanted them to represent something I feel extremely strong about:
Equal Rights.
This country has been falling under darker and darker times, and I'm afraid I will never again be proud to say I'm an American. It's an embarrassment -- a shame to know that I'm a citizen of a country that inspires such hate and disgust in other countries. Even England, one of our largest "supposed" allies hates us. Tony Blair is disugsted with Bush (it was only a matter of time) and the citizens themselves think Americans and crude, ignorant, and egotistical pigs.
And for the majority, we are. But then there are some of us whole swallow our pride, who are humble in our feelings and thoughts. We, who want to be treated as equals and not thought of as a war-mongering society, but one that loves others as we want to be loved. I'm not a religious person, but one verse of the Bible has always stuck with me. I believe John the Baptist said it best:
"Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you." John 15:12
And so here I am, taking my small little stand in this art community, stating that I believe in equal rights for all people. Gay, Lesbian, Bi-Sexual, Straight, Transgender... Who you decide to love and spend the rest of your life with should never matter. What should matter is that you love... And that you want to marry and have children because the love you have is
strong.
The government says they want to protect the sanctity of marriage. I say they are destroying it by letting people who don't even love each other, exploit marriage by annulments. In Las Vegas, a man and a woman can get married after knowing each other for one day. Yet, if two men or two women have been in love for 15 years, and have lived together for just as long, will never have that chance.
And it's all in thanks to our government.
I support equal rights for everyone. Make a stamp and show your support to this society. Or if you want, take any of mine. People should know where you stand and you...you should be proud.
Don't even worry about linking back to me or whatever. Don't even worry about giving me credit.
Take your own stand and be heard.

Right now, in the body I am in, I can marry ~Antivyris, and have it be valid, and yet the body I want, to match what is inside, will forever bar me from any kind of legal marriage to him. I agree with SenorDiablo. This does need to be heard. Love is valid no matter its form or face.
:claps: thanks.

'cause I was born to destroy you
Whoever I end up falling in love with, I want to be able to have the same rights as anyone else when it comes to publicly confirming that love.
Fuck the Oregon constitutional amendment 36.
